ISLAMABAD: The rooftop of a house collapsed in Manawan area of Lahore leaving two girls dead on Wednesday morning.
According to rescue sources, the roof of the house located in the jurisdiction of Manawan Police Station came crashing down leaving two children five year old Mariam and seven year old Javeria dead on the spot, a private news channel reported.
Two women and a two-year old girl were injured in the roof collapse incident.
Rescue teams arrived at the scene after being informed of the incident and retrieved the wounded persons trapped under the rubble.
The victims were shifted to Services Hospital Lahore.
It is reported that the injured persons were members of the same family.
