FAISALABAD: One robber was killed, others managed to flee and a cop martyred in a police encounter here on Sunday.
The patrolling police party tried to stop a group of suspects at Kanal Road in Faisalabad but they instead of stopping started firing at police.
One policeman was martyred in firing of the robbers and in retaliatory action one robber was killed while his others cohorts managed to escaped.
Body of the martyred cop identified as Muhammad Ashraf and killed robbers were shifted to mortuary of local hospital for medico-legal formalities
