Karachi: Provincial Minister for Industries & Commerce and Anti-Corruption & Cooperative Department Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has said that a further rise of more than nine per cent in the prices of daily commodities in the last one week is tantamount to dropping an atomic bomb on the poor under the burden of inflation.

This he said in a statement issued here on Saturday.

He said that according to the Federal Bureau of Statistics, prices of 25 daily commodities have risen more than nine percent sharply in the past one week including eggs, chicken, flour and sugar .

Dharejo said it was unfortunate that the federal government had turned a blind eye to public issues and the people were suffering due to unemployment and inflation and praying day and night to get rid of this incompetent PTI government.

He said that PPP under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has emerged as a ray of hope for the people and hoped that the incompetent federal government would soon be out of power. He said that Sindh government was striving for the development of the province according to its resources and wanted equal development of urban and rural population.

The minister said that PPP believes in serving the people without any discrimination.
