KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Rabita Committee has taken the shutter down call back and appealed traders, industrialists, shopkeepers and transporters to resume their activities after 1:00 P.M.
MQM had called for shutter down in Sindh in protest against the unjust Sindh Budget 2015-16.
After a joint meeting of the MQM London and Karachi Raabita Committees held a detailed review of the provincial budget and decided to call strike against new budget announced by PPP.
The meeting expressed immense disappointment over the absence of development projects in the budget, non-resolution of public issues and unemployment in urban Sindh, despite the submission of a shadow budget and written recommendations by MQM.
MQM declared new budget as ‘hateful, biased and anti-urban Sindh budget’, the party called for a shutter-down strike on Sunday.
The meeting slammed Peoples Party for saying that by presenting anti-urban Sindh budget the PPP once again demonstrated its discriminatory and racist thoughts, which the MQM will not accept in any case.
