SRINAGAR: Occupied Jammu & Kashmir State Governor Satya Pal Malik announced on Wednesday that restrictions on movement freedom in the Valley would be eased after India’s independence day (Aug 15), however, phone and internet will remain suspended.
In an interview with Times of India, Malik cleared that clampdown would be relaxed but communication blackout will remain in place.
He added that we dont want to give that (communication) instrument to the enemy until things settle down.
“We will gradually open communication lines in a week or 10 days when everything will be alright,” Malik further said.
