A report has been submitted in Supreme Court Karachi Registry regarding removing billboards and signboards from the streets of Karachi here on Tuesday.
As per details, a three member bench conducted the hearing of illegal billboards and hording case here on Tuesday.
During the hearing the officials presented a report regarding removing illegal billboards and signboards across the city. According to it, about 228 billboards and signboards have been removed since the order of the court.
The report also mention legal advertising boards in areas of Cantonment board and Bahria.
The court argued that a few boards are still being displayed at Zamzama on which Cantonment’s advocate replied those are displayed on private property. On which court said they also not allowed to display the boards.
During the hearing, Justice Amir Hani Muslim ordered session judge to present a report and if it mismatch the official’s report then the court would take action under contempt of court.
