MUMBAI: The remaining season of India Premier League (IPL) has indefinitely been postponed due to coronavirus situation in India.
The Indian Premier League Governing Council (IPL GC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an emergency meeting, held today, has unanimously decided to postpone IPL 2021 season with immediate effect.

As a result of the bio-secure bubble burst of the Indian Premier League, two players tested positive yesterday.
The match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers in Bangalore has been postponed due to the confirmation of coronavirus in the players.
The BCCI will arrange for secure and safe passage of all the participants.
Coronavirus cases in India have exceeded 20 million, with over 300,000 cases reporting daily in the country for the past 13 days.
