MQM’s Nine Zero raid: Rangers complete search operation but ‘no arrests’

KARACHI: Rangers’ contingents have left after completing search operation at Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarter ‘Nine Zero’ in Karachi, however, no arrests were made during the surprising raid.

Paramilitary troops, Rangers, raided Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarter ‘Nine Zero’ in Karachi on Thursday (today).

Heavy contingents of Rangers conducted surprising raid on a tip off again on MQM headquarter ‘Nine Zero’ when a press conference underway by MQM’s Rabita Committee, sources said.

Nearly a dozen of security officials were patrolling in the connected streets near Nine Zero while heavy contingents were present in Jinnah Ground.

A local news channel quoted Dr. Farooq Sattar who confirmed regarding a raiding Rangers’ vehicle but the reason behind their sudden arrival is still ‘unknown’.

He told local media that the security officials were inquired about the details of the raid but they refused to answer any question. He added that Rangers have not entered at any office of the political party.
