Rangers powers not snatched, says Khursheed Shah

ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Thursday said that irony is Dr Asim Hussain’s video was provided to the Interior Minister but not to Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah.

He criticised the government while talking to the media in Sukkur.

Shah said that Rangers’ special powers were not snatched but the party has only demanded to take the ‘captain of the aircraft into confidence’. How come the federal government is only focused towards Sindh and is sparing terrorists and their facilitators in other provinces, he asked.

He said that Dr Asim Hussain’s matter in being heard in court and the decision would also be of the court. The Opposition Leader appealed to the stake holders to avoid making Rangers’ matter of extension in special powers a controversial issue.

While talking about the Army Public School massacre’s first anniversary on Wednesday, Shah said that the nation would not let the young blood go in vain.
