Rangers, police detain 47 suspects during operation across Punjab

LAHORE: Rangers and police crackdown against terrorists and criminal elements continues in Punjab as 47 accused were apprehended during operations in Lahore, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur and Attock, on Saturday night. The operation was also carried in the federal capital Islamabad.
Those who were taken into custody from different cities of Punjab also included activists of banned organizations. Arms and banned literature was also seized from the arrested persons.
On the other hand, police also carried out search operation in Naulakha, Ravi Road and New Anarkali areas of Lahore and checked the identity documents of the residents during house-to-house search.
Biometric device was also used during the search operation. Police detained at least 17 suspects who failed to produce any identity document.—Agencies
