KARACHI: Heavy contingents of law enforcement agency, Rangers, surrounded Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters Nine Zero (90) on Monday late night.
A large-scale operation has started by law enforcement agencies at MQM’s headquarter Nine Zero after commencement of thread of raids being conducted across the metropolis.
The series of raids commenced after attacks on media houses including Ary News, Neo News at Madina Mall Karachi on Monday. According to reports, the attacks were carried out after conclusion of MQM’s hunger strike camp outside Karachi Press Club.
Earlier, several MQM central leaders including Farooq Sattar, Khawaja Izharul Hassan, Amir Khan, MPA Sajid Ahmad and Amir Liaquat Hussain by the security agencies.
Later, Farooq Sattar, Khawaja Izharul Hassan and MPA Sajid Ahmad were released by the security officials, local media reports said.
Moreover, website of the political party is also suspended by the authorities.
