Rangers file Rs 500m notice against Waseem Akhtar

KARACHI: Sindh Rangers have filed a damages notice of Rs.500 million against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senior leader Waseem Akhtar.

As per details, Rangers lawmaker filed the damages suit in Sindh High Court, stating that Waseem Akhtar had ‘falsely’ accused the law enforcement agency of snatching and stealing hides of sacrificial animals in Karachi.

In the notice, Rangers asked the senior MQM leader to furnish evidences or pay Rs. 500 million as damages.

While accepting Rangers application, the court issued notice to Waseem Akhtar to appear before the court in the next hearing.
