At least three terrorists were arrested during a raid conducted by para-military troops in a densely populated area of the metropolis Karachi here on Monday, Rangers’ spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said that the arrested terrorists were affiliated with a banned outfit. The raid on a tip off was conducted in Metroville area of Karachi, he added.
A large cache of weaponry was also recovered from the arrested terrorists who were identified as Shireen alias Ustad, Yaar Rabbani and Akhtar.
According to the spokesperson, the arrested terrorists have admitted their involvement in different terrorism activities including assassination of DSP Abdul Majeed and SHO Shafeeq Tanoli besides other cases of extortion and abduction for ransom.
