KARACHI: Rangers arrested six target killers including five having political affiliation with Muttahida Qaumi Movememnt MQM during raid conducted in Ranchore Line area of Karachi on Monday (today).
Six target killers including five having affiliation with a political party were arrested during raid in Ranchore Line area of the metropolis today, Rangers’ spokesperson said.
Arrested Khurram Ilyas alias Muchar is closer relative of MQM’s in-charge of Unit 28 who was invovled in various cases of target killing, extortion and hiding weapons.
Target killer Mehmood admitted assassination of 47 persons in the metropolis and he is an active MQM activist of Unit 20, spokesperson said.
Shahid alias Kaala murdered six persons and an active worker of MQM’s Unit 29. He was arrested over charges of various criminal cases but later released on bail in 2014.
Kashif was arrested over charges of extortion and target killing of citizens.
Zubair alias Handi had murdered two security officials during a robbery and also involved in armed clashes against Lyari gang war and Sunni Tehreek (ST).
Mubeen was involved in various cases of extortion and other crimes, as well as committee member of MQM’s Unit 20 in Karachi. The detained person was also arrested on September 17, 2014 but released on bail.
Zubair alias Handi had murdered two security officials during a robbery and also involved in armed clashes against Lyari gang war and Sunni Tehreek (ST).
The security officials also recovered large cache of weaponry including 14 SMGs, 6 bore repeater, 6 pistols, one light machine gun, Awan bombs and five kilogram explosive hazards from their possession.
The arrested persons were shifted to the undisclosed location for further investigation.
