LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah rejected claims of arresting ‘thousands of political workers’ belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) across the province. He detailed media that 838 political workers were held across Punjab but not a single female worker was not arrested.
Rana Sanaullah while addressing press conference along with Zaeem Qadri on Monday said that approximately 4,000 workers reached Islamabad over call of PTI Chief Imran Khan. He said not a single shop was closed due to protests across Punjab province.
Sanaullah said 208 political workers were arrested in Lahore region while 29 were held in Multan. The Law Minister slammed PTI leadership, alleging that the political party made Punjab citizens hostages since three years. He said the Punjab government has provided chance for political event to PTI in fulfilling its demand in sake of democracy and good governance system. Sanaullah said the government was in favour to stabilise democracy across the country.
