Karachi: The holy month of Ramazan will begin in Pakistan from tomorrow (Saturday).
Earlier on Thursday, the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee had announced that the moon had not been sighted, therefore, the Ramazan will begin from Saturday.
The holy month of Ramazan has already begun today in several countries including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Kuwait, Oman and Turkey.
Meanwhile, Planning Minister Asad Umar on Friday termed the holy month of Ramazan as decisive in determining the trajectory of coronavirus cases in the country.
The federal minister urged the masses to adopt precautions.
Lifting of some restrictions on the eve of Eidul Fitr is only possible if citizens strictly follow social distancing in Ramazan, Umar said.
