Islamabad: Planning Minister Asad Umar on Friday termed the holy month of Ramazan as decisive in determining the trajectory of coronavirus cases in the country. 

The federal minister urged the masses to adopt precautions.

Lifting of some restrictions on the eve of Eidul Fitr is only possible if citizens strictly follow social distancing during Ramazan, Umar said.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the “track and trace system” would be implemented across the country with the help of the Inter-Services Intelligence’s (ISI) for coronavirus cases.

The prime minister announced this while speaking to the journalists and the social media influencers.

He said that the track and trace system would be helpful in tracing areas where the coronavirus cases are high in number
