ISLAMABAD: Rain-thunderstorm and snowfall over the hills are expected at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, while at isolated places of upper Punjab and Balochistan during the next 24 hours.
Light rain-thunderstorm/drizzle is also expected along Makran, Sindh coast whereas cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country, an official of met office Saturday told.
However, dense foggy conditions are likely to prevail over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
Scattered rainfall is predicted at Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu, D.I. Khan divisions, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while at isolated places in upper Punjab including Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad divisions, Quetta, Zhob divisions and Islamabad.
A fresh western disturbance is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist till Monday.
During last 24 hours, weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country. However, Light rain occurred at isolated places in Quetta. Dense foggy conditions prevailed over most plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh.
Minimum temperatures recorded on Saturday were Skardu -04øC, Hunza and Gupis -03øC, Kalat -02øC, Gilgit -01øC, Dir 02øC, Quetta 03øC, Chitral 03øC, Murree 04øC, Muzaffarabad 05øC, Islamabad 06øC, Peshawar 08øC, Lahore 09øC, Faisalabad 10øC, Multan 11øC, Hyderabad 17øC and Karachi 18øC.
