Rain lashes some parts of Karachi

Rainfall lashed the port city Karachi on Saturday late night that turned weather pleasant as the monsoon gift for Karachiites on the weekend.

Mild rainfall with strong winds hit various areas of Karachi including I.I. Chundrigar Road, Sadar, Liaquatabad, North Karachi, Gizri, PECHS, Clifton, Malir, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Super Highway and its suburban areas.

Rainfall also reported in some other areas that include UP Round About, Sohrab Goth, University Road, Burns Road, Federal B. Area, Nazimabad, North Karachi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Airport, Shah Faisal Colony, Landhi and Korangi.

Met department predicted that a new system of monsoon winds entered from Bangladesh within next two days that would bring strong rains across many parts of the country.

However, load shedding and low voltage issues once again strike some areas hit by rain in the metropolis vanishing happiness of citizens trying to enjoy the most-awaited monsoon rainfall.

Many roads were inundated by the rain waters in all areas where rainfall has been reported.
