LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Monday announced a 50 percent decrease in Eid train fares.
Addressing a news conference, Saad Rafique said that the fare reduction will apply on trains moving from July 14 to July 16 and will be on one way fare.
Rafique further said that he will brief the media about Railway turnout after Eid claiming that the department has earned profit and decreased expenditure.
He maintained that his team is working day in and day out to restore Railway’s previous status of a profitable institution urging the media and politicians to join hands in the cause.
About the Gujranwala train accident, he said that JIT will present its report after Eid.
