ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and United Nations General Assembly President Volkan Bozkir held talks on Thursday.
The talks focused on issues of mutual interest, including the situation in Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir, UN Security Council reform, the Afghan peace process, and the availability of corona vaccine.
Qureshi said that the issues of Palestine and Kashmir have been on the agenda of the UN Security Council for decades. Pakistan wishes for a lasting and just solution to the Palestinian issue and the Kashmir issue in the light of UN Security Council resolutions.
Peace is the primary responsibility of the Security Council. The talks also focused on UN Security Council reform.
