ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday said that the government cannot stay silent over the accusations leveled against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in a recent BBC documentary.
Talking to media outside parliament, the PTI leader said that MQM shall come forward and bring BBC and the reporter in court over such serious allegations while he wants to know the actual response of Pakistan government over the issue.
He maintained that the silence of Pakistan’s Foreign Office over the allegations regarding India’s Research and Analysis Wing supporting MQM is ‘incomprehensible’.
Taking the Sindh’s ruling party Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to task, Qureshi lamented that more than one thousand people lost lives in recent Karachi heatwave but none of the leaders of PPP attend a single funeral,
