LAHORE: A Qatar Airlines cargo plan which is going to New Delhi had to land on Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore after, the Delhi airport authorities asked it to hover in the air till the clearance of runway.
“The pilot of the flight 8892 today afternoon requested Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority for landing at the Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore for refueling which was allowed,” CAA Punjab spokesman Kamran Malik told PTI.
He said the plane also told the CAA that it was asked to hover in the air as other flights were lined up for landing.
“The pilot said the aircraft had did not have enough fuel for the plane to stay in the air for some time,” the spokesman said, adding the refueling had been done and the plane was expected to leave for its destination shortly.
