DUBAI: With their eyes set on their maiden title, Lahore Qalandars have kicked off preparations in Dubai ahead of the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League.
The first batch of the Qalandars squad that arrived in Dubai on Thursday went to the ICC academy for the first training session on Friday.
Qalandars skipper Mohammad Hafeez also joined the squad and took part in the training session.
However, players who were with national duty, including Shaheen Shah Afridi and Fakhar Zaman, will join the squad on February 11 while foreign players will join the team in the next two days.
Qalandars chief operating officer, Sameen Rana, was confident that team would do well in the upcoming season and that the players were looking forward to giving their best.
“Our combination is much better this time and Qalandars will not let fans down,” Rana told a local TV.
“We kicked off our training today and will have a few more sessions which will provide players a chance to gel together,” he added.
Qalandars will launch its PSL campaign on February 14 with a match against Islamabad United.
