Qadri protest: Islamabad administration calls up military troops

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan government called up military troops for security of Red Zone following protest organised for executed Mumtaz Qadri at the day when his Chehlum ceremony was being organised today.

Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG-ISPR) Lieutenant-General Asim Saleem Bajwa in his recent statement said that the federal government called up military troops for security of Red Zone following violent protests.

It should be mentioned here that deployment of Triple-One 111th Infantry Brigade of Pakistan Army was made following the request of the federal government to ensure security of Red Zone.
