LAHORE: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman claimed that Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif showed agreement to make amendments in “Protection of Women Against Violence Bill 2015”.
Fazlur Rehman was addressing a press conference after telephonic conversation with CM Shahbaz Sharif. He claimed CM Sharif agreed to amend the controversial bill, however, JUI-F clarified that the matter is more complex than making an amendment.
He said the women protection bill was open violation of Quran and Sunnah which was approved in hurried manner.
