PTI seeks FIR against Sindh govt, K-Electric

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Ismail and Faisal Wada has filed a petition to register a case against the Sindh government and K-Electric over deaths caused by the deadly heatwave and load shedding, local media reported on Saturday.

According to reports, Imran Ismail submitted a petition to register a case under Sections 302 and 322 in presence of DSP and SHO and nominated Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah, Information Minister Sharjeel Memon, Administrator Karachi Saqib Soomro, Chairman PDMA Suleman Shah and Provincial Minister for Health Jam Mehtab.

PTI submitted that the several lives were wasted because of Sindh government’s negligence.

Accompanying Imran Ismail were other PTI leaders including Khurram Sher Zaman and Faisal Wada.

The police officials said that the decision regarding registering a First Information Report (FIR) will be taken after evaluating the complaint.

 Imran Ismail threatened of staging a sit-in outside the same police station if the FIR is not registered in 72 hours.
