ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif Friday said if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would challenge the writ of state then action would be taken against them according to law.

PTI had planned to attack national institutions on the pre text of protest gathering in the federal capital as previously it had attacked the Parliament and Pakistan Television buildings during last sit-ins in 2014, he said while talking to a TV channel.

The minister said the government had showed patience during PTI and PAT sit-ins at D-Chowk.

However, he said police would be deployed for safety of national institutions, citizens and students during PTI’s protest on November 2.

He said Sheikh Rashid came on motorcycle at Committee Chowk and addressed only few people and went back.

Khawaja Asif said, “Arrests and sticks were part of political struggle as I had faced sticks due to political activity in early age.”

The public court was the biggest court for people’s representatives and the masses would decide in 2018 general elections which political party was better for them and the country, he added.

He said the national economy was further strengthened due to prudent policies of the present government.
