LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleem Khan said on Monday that his party was not marching to the prime minister’s residence in Raiwind.
Speaking to reporters, Aleem Khan said Rawind was like other areas of Lahore.
The PTI has been trying to gather support for the Raiwind March from opposition parties. On Saturday, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri announced that the party would not be part of the march. According to Dr Qadri the PAT would not even protest outside the residence of its worst opponent.
In response to Pervez Rashid’s statement that Imran Khan has probably struck an agreement with the devil which is why he did not go for Hajj, Aleem Khan replied: “I want to tell Pervez Rashid that since he has no relation with Imran Khan there can be no satanic influences. Pervez Rashid is the leader of satanic influences”.
He added that Imran Khan had plans to perform Hajj next year. “I would invite Pervez Rashid to go perform Hajj with Imran Khan. Maybe this way he might be forgiven by Allah”. —INP
