LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has moved a resolution in the Punjab Assembly against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain’s provocative speech.
The resolution was presented by Opposition Leader Mian Mehmoodur Rashid, seeking registration of a treason case against Altaf Hussain.
In that resolution, PTI demanded Altaf Hussain be arrested and brought back to Pakistan with the help of Interpol as he repeatedly targets country’s armed forces and other institutions.
Earlier, MQM chief addressing party’s Annual Convention in the US city of Dallas via telephone on Sunday asked his party workers to stage protests in front of United Nations, White House and NATO and raise a demand for sending their troops to Karachi.
Altaf said, India itself is a coward country, if it had some honour it would not have allowed ‘bloodshed of Mohajirs’ on Pakistani soil. He reiterated the demand for a separate province for Muhajirs.
