ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Election Tribunal headed by Justice Retd. Wajihuddin Siddiqui has cancelled basic membership of top PTI brass including Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Pervez Khattak and secretary general Jehangir Tareen.
The Election Tribunal headed by Justice (R) Wajihuddin has announced its verdict here on Monday. The tribunal expelled Jehangir Khan Tareen and Nadir Khan , banning them to rejoin the political party declaring them ineligible for any post.
The tribunal also issued show-cause notices to Arif Alvi, Saif Ullah Khan Niazi and Qasim Khan.
Reacting over the verdict, PTI leader Nadir Khan said that the PTI chairman Imran Khan had already dissolved the tribunal, hence, the verdict has no position on the ground. Nadir rejected to accept the verdict given by the tribunal.
