PTI decides to serve show cause notices to twenty members of KP Assembly

Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf has decided to serve show cause notices to twenty members of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly  who violated party’s discipline in recent Senate Elections.

According to the details furnished by the party’s Central Media Department Pakistan, PTI  had set a daring precedent by kicking out its twenty MPAs from the party for selling votes in the recent Senate Elections.

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Imran Khan in an exclusive press conference on Wednesday at Chairman Secretariat Islamabad had announced that the party would issue charge sheet to its twenty law makers to seek explanations of their actions and would report the names to the National Accountability Bureau for “participating in horse trading” during Senate elections last month.

He said that the party would give the members a chance to explain before sending their names to NAB.

“Expelling twenty MPAs right before general elections is a crucial move and it will surely have ramifications but it cannot deter PTI from its resolve to bring change”, said Chairman PTI.

Chairman PTI provided the names of the lawmakers who sold their loyalties. PTI female members including Nargis Ali, Deena Naaz, Nagina Khan, Fouzia Bibi and Naseem Hayat on reserved seats who had traded their votes. Moreover male MPAs of PTI including Sardar Idrees, Obaid Mayar, Zahid Durrani, Abdul Haq, Qurban Khan, Amjad Afridi, Arif Yousaf, Javed Naseem, Yasin Khalil, Faisal Zaman and Sami Alizai were found guilty of trading votes. One MPA Meraj Humayun from Qaumi Watan Party, Khatoon Bibi and Babar Saleem from Awami Jamhoori Itehad and last bout not the least MPA Wajih uz Zaman who joined PTI from PMLN traded their loyalties by selling their votes.
