PSX witnesses bullish trend as KSE-100 Index increases by 145 points

PSX hits new high above 91,000 on hopes of hawkish SBP signals

KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday witnessed bullish trend as the KSE-100 Index gained 145.42 points and closed at the new highest level of 49517.2 points.

The KSE-30 Index increased by 111.66 points and closed at 26949.89 points. Similarly KSE-All Shares Index moved up by 89.36 points and closed at 33745.03 points.

The shares of 437 companies were traded. The share value of 218 companies went up, that of 202 went down, and that of 17 remained unchanged.

The market capital increased by Rs. 24.78 billion, however, the trading value decreased by Rs. 1.27 billion as compared to the previous day.

The highest activity was recorded in the share value of Unilever Foods, as it gains Rs. 285 and closed at Rs. 5985, while the lowest activity was recorded in the share value of Rafhan Maize Products, which slashed Rs. 160 and closed at Rs. 8040.

In future trading, the share value of 123 companies increased, and that of 25 companies decreased, while over 59 million shares were traded.
