Karachi: Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz will not play in the opening match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6.
Peshawar Zalmai captain Wahab Riaz, along with coach Darren Sammy, violated the biosecure zone and met a team member outside the safe zone.
According to a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) statement, a team player and official has been sent to isolation for three days for violating the biosecure bubble.
According to the statement, the PLS-VI: two had met a third person outside the biosecure bubble, while the two must have two negative test results before rejoining the squad.
It is to be noted that this incident took place during the practice match yesterday due to which the photo shoot of the team along with the trophy has also been postponed on Saturday.
