Providing clean potable water top priority of Sindh govt, says Qasim

Karachi:  Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, the Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Sindh has said that provision of clean drinking water to the people is one of the top priorities of the Sindh Government.

He said this while inaugurating a clean drinking water project for Talpur Colony in Tando Muhammad Khan here on Wednesday.

It should be noted that the completion of the said project has solved the long standing problem of providing clean drinking water to hundreds of houses in Talpur Colony.

Municipal Chairman Syed Shahnawaz Shah Bukhari, local PPP leader Danish Rajput and Public Health Engineering officials were also present on the occasion.

The Special Assistant to Chief Minister further said that work on other development projects in the district was also in full swing and after their completion more facilities would be available to the people of the district.

He said that Sindh government was using its resources to deal with the situation caused by Coronavirus and at the same time Sindh government was keeping an eye on public welfare works.

Qasim Naveed said that under the direction of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and under the leadership of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, development works were underway in the province and we were trying our best to provide facilities to the people at their doorstep. He said that the government had relaxed the lockdown keeping in view the problems of the people but the people had to take precaution to protect themselves from Coronavirus. Negligence could be very dangerous.
