NEW YORK: A former stockbroker who was a member of the Wolf of Wall Street’s gang has been found living on the streets of New York.
William Preston King once raked in millions of pounds as a high flier with Merrill Lynch and Oppenheimer & Co., living in a plush Manhattan apartment and driving expensive cars.
But is a twist of fate, the 52-year-old has now been photographed sleeping rough exchanging his 4,000 dollars mattress for a pile of empty pizza boxes on a pavement in Greenwich Village.
The image was captured as part of a campaign launched this week by the Sergeants Benevolent Association, hoping to force local politicians to act on the homeless problem.
After King’s picture was made public, his sister came forward and identified him as an ex-New York stockbroker.
