Lahore: Awami Muslim League (AML) Chairman Sheikh Rasheed submitted a privilege motion against Federal Information Minister Pervez Rasheed in National Assembly over black out of opposition leaders speeches on Panama leaks on Pakistan Television (PTV).
The Privilege motion said that Information minister intentionally directed the blackout of opposition’s speeches and deliberately told a lie on the floor of National Assembly.
Moreover Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) also submitted an adjournment motion to the National Assembly Secretariat on the PTV’s blackout of opposition speeches.
Khurshid Shah said that it was disappointing that the PTV often telecasted selective coverage of the National Assembly debates.
He said that the PTV usually focus and broadcast the government’s point of view and gave little to the speeches of opposition.
