MULTAN : Prime Minister Imran Khan touched the hearts of people, as he spoke frankly in his first address to the nation, broadcast live Sunday night.
In his address after taking oath as the 22nd prime minister, Imran Khan spoke at length about the present state of affairs and what the country actually needed to come out of the troubles and move forward on a trajectory of development.
The PM unveiled his priorities and the strategy that included reforms in civil service, local government system, police,establishment of south Punjab as separate province, health sector reforms and construction of big water reservoirs.
It laid a roadmap of good governance, giving real importance to people from all walks of life.
The premier revived hopes of people, which they had beencarrying for decades for a real change, MNA Malik Amir Dogar said while talking to APP.
Steps the PM talked about to steer the economy out of troubles on war-footing and his advocacy and stress on an austere way of life and converting the PM House into a university is a welcome sign. PM Imran will fulfil all his promises, Dogar added.
MNA Ahmad Hussain said he believed that PM Imran’s efforts to follow the model of the State of Madinah will bear fruits.He said that steps spelled out by Imran Khan to expand tax base and improve foreign investment would steer the country toeconomic self reliance.
Pakistan needs bold decisions, the ones announced by PM to emerge as a strong nation, he added.MNA Ibrahim Khan said that the whole nation was supporting Imran Khan over his vision of ‘Naya Pakistan’.
MPA Haji Javed Ansari said that Pakistani people have found a great leader in Imran Khan and they see everything changing under his leadership.
PTI Women Wing leader Dr Rubina Akhtar hailed PM’s message to the neighbours for peaceful relations on the basis of equality.
Advocate Waseem Mumtaz said that today’s speech by PM explains the 100-day programme Imran Khan had unveiled before the election 2018.
