‘Primary schools to reopen from Oct 15 in Balochistan’

QUETTA: The Balochistan government on Saturday announced a 15-day extension in the reopening date of the primary schools in the province.

Balochistan Government Spokesman Liaquat Shahwani addressing a press conference said that the coronavirus cases had started rising at the educational institutions in the province therefore the reopening of the primary schools had been extended for another 15 days.

He said that the educational institutions where the coronavirus cases were being reported have been closed. The minister warned that those who enter into the educational institutions without face masks would face strict action.

Shahwani further said that the educational institutions at the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) would propose to reopen the primary schools on October 15.

Earlier, the Sindh government had also announced to keep the middle schools (from class 6th to 8th) closed for one more week, reopening on September 28.
