ISLAMABAD: The prices of almost all fruits and vegetables decreased in the federal capital here on Sunday.
According to the Islamabad Market Committee Price List issued here for Kohsar market, Super Market and Jinnah Super Market, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed bit difference from the price list of the previous days.
According to price list, potato sold at Rs 25 per kilogram, Onion Rs 31, Tomato Rs 44, Ginger Rs 97, Garlic (China) Rs 297, Garlic Local 297, Lemon Rs 69, Pumpkin Rs 55, Brinjal Rs 45, Peas Rs 50, Fresh Bean Rs 45, Tanda Walaiti Rs. 35, Bitter Gourd Rs 85, Cucumber Rs 50, Capsicum Rs 75, Green Chilli Rs 57, Cauliflower Rs 26, Cabbage Rs 28, Spinach Rs 19/15, Raddish Rs 24/20, Turnip Rs 24/20, Yam Rs 65, Maroo Rs 33, Carrot Rs 28, Chicken Rs 107 and Egg per dozen Rs 136.
Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 130/88, Apple Golden Rs 100/65, Apple White Rs 90/55, Apple China Rs150/120, Banana Pak Rs 88/55, Grapes Toffee Rs 155/130, Grapes Irani Rs 120/150, Guava 78/50, Pomegranate Rs 180/130, Shakri 120/150, Musami Rs 110/70, Keeno Rs 110/70 Fruiter Rs 65/50, and Red Blood Orange Rs. 130/100.
The people are asked to ensure that they are sold vegetables and fruits as per rate list and inform authorities at 051-4867762in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
