Prevailing water crises, sheer negligence of K-Electric, KWSB: Hafiz Naeem

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has termed the prevailing water crises, a sheer negligence of authorities concerned of K-Electric and Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KWSB).

In a statement issued here on Thursday, Hafiz Naeem urged the authorities concerned of KWSB and K-Electric to resolve their matters amicably, as the masses are passing through tremendous mental agony due to water shortage and electricity load-shedding.

Expressing his deep concern over the continue load-shedding and water scarcity in scorching summer season, Hafiz Naeem said that the PPP and MQM are responsible of the prevailing crises of water supply and load-shedding, as the people of Karachi are deprived of their basic rights due to absence of proper local bodies system.

“On one hand, the KWSB’s water distribution process is not appropriate while on the other hand, continues load-shedding by K-electric increases the vows of the masses”, he added.

Hafiz Naeem further said that the people are deprived of basic necessity like water while the illegal water hydrants are openly selling water to the citizens at high rates.

He feared that law and order issue could be produced due to water shortage, if timely action would not be taken to resolve the said burning issue.

He demanded of the authorities concerned to take immediate action to resolve the issue so that the masses could get sigh of relief during this scorching summer.
