ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain Thursday vowed to eliminate terrorism from the country and said the operation Zarb-e-Azb has broken the back of the terrorists.
Talking to the outgoing ambassador of Kuwait Nawaf Abdulaziz Alenezi, who called on him here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, the President said the terrorist incident in Quetta reflected desperation of the terrorists following the operation to eliminate them.
The ambassador of Kuwait conveyed condolences of Emir of Kuwait over the Quetta terrorist attack and said Kuwait was deeply saddened over the gruesome terror incident in Quetta.
President Mamnoon stated that relations between all Islamic countries should be cordial for collectively eliminating the menace of terrorism and extremism.
The President underscored that Muslims should resolve their mutual issues by utilizing the platform of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The President said Pakistan would stand by all Muslim countries in their hour of need including Kuwait.
The President said Pakistan desires strong economic relations with all Islamic countries adding that there was a need to have extended cooperation amongst the Muslim Ummah in fields of education, health and science.
President Mamnoon commended the services of the outgoing ambassador of Kuwait in Pakistan and hoped he would continue to work for promotion of Pakistan-Kuwait relations.
The President called for regular exchange of high level delegations to provide further impetus to bilateral relations between the two countries.
President Mamnoon said that Kuwait should ease its visa policy to benefit Pakistani manpower and said the government of Pakistan, in this regard, has taken measures to ensure compliance of Kuwaiti rules and regulations.
The President stated that Pakistan fully supports Kuwait’s policy on Yemen.
The outgoing ambassador of Kuwait said his government was taking measures to resolve the issues being faced by Pakistanis in getting visa and said their problems would be resolved soon.
