ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain will address a joint session of the Parliament today (Wednesday) in the absence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif – who underwent a heart surgery in London on Tuesday – for the first time.
This will be the third consecutive address of the President, which will be presided over by Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq.
President Hussain will highlight the performance of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government along with elaborating the challenges the country face, including terrorism and extremism.
He will also shed light on the major achievements by the security forces in the war against terror.
