President inaugurates Bio Remediation Plant in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday said the government is making all out efforts to improve the economy for the prosperity of the country.

He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of Bio Remediation Plant in Islamabad .

The plant has been developed by the scientists of Pakistan Agriculture Research Council for treatment of contaminated water for agriculture purpose.

The president also urged the provincial and city governments to take full advantage of this inexpensive technology to fight environmental degradation and meet the issue of water shortage for agriculture purpose.

He said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has a basic importance for economic development. He said the dream of the construction of CPEC will be realised in the next few years which will usher in a new era of industrialization in the country.

Referring to energy crisis, Hussain said work on various energy projects were going on and hoped that we would succeed in ending the loadshedding by 2018.

He said the Government had overcome corruption to a great extent during the last two and half years and no corruption scandal had been surfaced so far.

Minister for National Food Security Sikandar Bosan said that the model of bio remediation will be replicated to all the cities of the country.
