President Erdogan completes short-visit to Pakistan, leaves for Turkey

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has completed his short visit to Pakistan and flew towards his country after holding one-on-one meeting in Islamabad.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a brief stopover in Pakistan to meet top political leadership. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Erdogan held one-on-one meeting in Islamabad here on Saturday night.

Pakistan-Turkey-Leaders

Erdogan urged for enhancement of defence ties between both countries. He said that Pakistan has a significant role in the proces of Heart of Asia Istanbul project. Both leaders also vowed for joint efforts to fight challenges being faced by Muslim Ummah.

During the meeting, PM Nawaz Sharif said that vast trade opportunities are present between Pakistan and Turkey.

After completing his short visit to Pakistan, Turkish President flew back towards to his country. During his departure moments, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and cabinet members were present on the airport.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had landed at Nur Khan air base of Pakistan while returning from Indonesia.

President Erdogan and the Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan were warmly welcomed by Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and First Lady Begum Kulsoom Nawaz at the airport.

On the occasion, Advisor on National Security Sartaj Aziz, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhary were also present at the airport.
