ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain condemned the unprovoked firing by Indian forces on the Line of Control (LoC) saying that India should not undermine peace in the region through its warmongering.
In a statement on Thursday, the president said the whole nation and armed forces were ready and united for the defense of the motherland.
“India is trying to divert attention from its ongoing atrocities and brutalities in the occupied Kashmir,” he said adding that India wanted to divert attention of the international community through devious ways but emphasized that India would never be successful in this regard.
President Mamnoon underscored that Pakistan was desirous of peace in the region and did not want confrontation with any country but warned that any act of aggression would be forcefully retaliated. —APP
