ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz Tuesday said all kind of preparations for OIC Summit on Science and Technology to be held next year in Kazakhstan would be made in Pakistan.
Speaking on a calling attention notice in National Assembly, he said the venue of the summit was changed on request of government of Kazakhstan.
He said this was a good forum for the OIC member countries to progress and boost cooperation in sector of Science and Technology.
Sartaj said that Pakistan was going to host the next SAARC summit while many other summits would also be held here.
He said the ministerial level General Assembly meeting of the OIC was going to be held in Pakistan on May 30, in which suggestions would be finalized for next year summit.
The Advisor said the law and order situation in the country had been improved significantly as compared to 2013-14 due to government’s efforts.
He, however, said the militants’ attacks in Peshawar, and Lahore gave negative message to the world.
He hoped that the law and order situation would further improve. Sartaj Aziz said the progress and cooperation in Science and Technology sector would strengthen the country economically.
