PPP supported Nawaz govt to save democracy: Khurshid Shah

SUKKUR: Leader of the opposition in National Assembly Khurshid Ahmed Shah said that Pakistan People’s Party supported the Nawaz government so as to save the system and democracy.

While addressing a press conference on Thursday in Sukkur, Khurshid Shah said that he would answer to the allegations leveled on him in the parliament in the presence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He was of the view that he would go to the court, if the PM will not address the issue.

He said that PPP will hold protest if the government fail to clear its position.

The opposition leader said that the government used to level baseless allegations. He challenged the government to prove the allegations.

Khurshid Shah said that they did not want to sabotage the peaceful environment but the government fueling the political situation by its comments.
