KARACHI: The Sindh cabinet on Monday approved Rs8 billion for the purchase of 250 diesel-electric hybrid buses buses for the province.
The approval was made during the cabinet meeting being chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Syud Murad Ali Shah.
The cabinet approved Rs8 billion for the mega transport project under which 250 diesel hybrid-electric buses would run in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas and Shaheed Benazirabad.
The Sindh cabinet has directed the provincial transport department to complete the project at the earliest.
