KARACHI: The PPP has announced protests on water shortage in the province.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said that the Indus River System Authority (Irsa) was silent on the water theft.
He said that the PPP Sindh would hold protests against Irsa’s unfair water distribution, acute water shortage and prolonged loadshedding of electricity and gas from June 3 to 15 at district level across the province.
Unfolding details of the protests, Khuhro said that a protest would be held in Larkana on June 3, in five districts of Hyderabad on June 5, in Mirpurkhas on June 7, in Sukkur on June 9, in Shaheed Benzirabad on June 11, in five districts of Hyderabad on June 13 and in Karachi on June 15.
